Director Outreach ISRO Scientist Highlights Chandrayaan Successes, Failures, and Future Space Missions in Inspiring Talk

Renowned Director Outreach ISRO scientist, Mr.Rajesh Ghangurde delivered an illuminating talk at Navodaya Central School today captivating the audience with insights into the triumphs and challenges of the Chandrayaan missions. The talk delved into the successes of Chandrayaan 1, the lessons learned from Chandrayaan 2’s partial success and Chandrayaan 3’s setbacks, and ISRO’s exciting plans for upcoming space missions.
Mr Rajesh, a distinguished figure in the Indian space community, began by recounting the remarkable achievements of Chandrayaan 1. The mission, success and history by discovering water molecules on the lunar surface, revolutionizing our understanding of the Moon’s composition and potential for future exploration.
With utmost transparency, he addressed the challenges faced during Chandrayaan 2, which achieved a partial success with the orbiter capturing critical data despite the loss of the Vikram lander. The scientist emphasized that these setbacks were valuable learning experiences, highlighting ISRO’s resilience and determination to overcome hurdles.
