The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Navodaya Dental College organised Oral Health Exhibition and Fest for schools and college students of Raichur on 12.01.2024 from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM. The event was planned to create awareness about oral health, oral diseases and various treatment available to treat the oral condition. The events was organised under the guidance and support of Shri. S.R.Reddy, Hon’ble Chairman, NET, Raichur The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar,NET Raichur. Dr.Suresh Babu, Prof & HOD, Public Health Dentistry Dept. was welcomed the gathering. Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET Raichur. Dr.B. Devanand, Dean & Principal, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur and Dr.Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College Raichurwere addressed the gathering. Dr. Arun Naik, Medical Superintendent, Navodaya Hospital, Mallikarjun Reddy, CEO, Navodaya Hospital, Lathika Bhatia, Director Navodaya Central School, Dr. Umakanth Devarmani, Principal Navodaya B.Ed College Raichur were alsopresent during the inauguration.As a part of exhibition, drawing and essay competitions were also conducted for school children. Many schools were participated and received works of art depicting children 1 st visit to Dental Clinic and were showcased in the exhibition. The best drawing and essay competition prizes were awarded to the children by Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, NET, Raichur. 40 models, charts and table clinics were displayed in the college premises of Navodaya Dental College and were explained to the school children by staff and post graduate students. More than 1000 students were attended in this exhibition. Food and game stalls were also arranged outside the college. The program was well received by the all participants.
