The NSS unit of N.E.T Pharmacy College organized a celebration for World Hypertension Day on May 17, 2024, in the AV room of the central library. Dr. H Doddayya, Principal of N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur, served as the President of the function, while Dr. T Shivraj Gowda, HOD of the Department of Pharmacology, and Dr. Pradnya Patil, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutics, were the chief guest, Dr. Muhsin lecturer of pharmacy practice NET PC, Raichur, were present on the dias. The event was hosted by Ms. Aishwarya Biradar.

The program began with an invocation song by Miss Shradha and team, followed by a welcome address by Anju Elsa Mathew. Jaya Swathi delivered the preamble speech, and a bouquet was presented to all the dignitaries on the stage. The lighting of the lamp marked the official start of the event.

Dr. Shivraj Gouda shared his remarks and insights on World Hypertension Day, and Dr. Muhsin gave a lecture on the topic and emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about hypertension and encouraged the students to organize more health-related programs. A seminar presentation on the advancements in hypertension treatment and guidelines was also conducted.

A total of 60 NSS volunteers participated in the event, with the aim of educating the attendees about hypertension. The program concluded with the National Anthem and a high tea session. Aishwarya Biradar, a Pharm.D intern, delivered the vote of thanks to wrap up the event
