Industrial Visit to Zuari Cement Plant, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh
26 Students of Department of Civil Engineering have visited Zuari cement industry, Yeraguntla, Kadapa, Andhra pradesh as a industrial visit to enhance the practical knowledge and to bridge the gap between industry and academics. This industrial visit was conducted from 15th to 17th of Dec 2022 in which third and final year engineering students of department of Civil Engineering have participated. Students visited Cement industry at yerraguntla and get insight of on the internal working environment and production, stacking & transportation of cement. Students also visited Belum caves which are the second largest cave system on the Indian subcontinent, known for its speleothems, such as stalactite and stalagmite formations. The Belum Caves have long passages, galleries, spacious caverns with fresh water and siphons. This industrial visit also provided an insight on how companies work and also useful information related to old architecture and the practical aspects of the course which cannot be visualized in lectures.
