We are pleased to present a comprehensive report on the Academic activity - guest lecture organized by Professor and HOD Dr.M.Bharathi and staff of Department of Radiodiagnosis on the eve of “International radiology day” which was on 8th November was celebrated on 18th November, on the topic of "Anaphylaxis and it's management." The Heads of Pre & Para clinical departments & faculty members, Postgraduate students and Interns from the various branches participated. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about anaphylaxis, it's causes and it's management.
The programme was inaugurated by a welcome speech by Dr. Sharanayya, Associate professor introduced the guest speaker Dr. G. S. Mallesh gouda, a distinguished expert in the field of Pediatrics with qualifications of MBBS from JJMC and a Dch in Pediatrics from KM Hospital Pune. Dr. Mallesh gouda sir's profound knowledge and extensive experience made him an ideal speaker for the event. He serves as a director of New Amruth Pediatric Hospital and PG Institute.
Dr. T. Srinivas, the Registrar of NET, Raichur, was the Guest of Honour. His presence added prestige to the lecture and reflected the importance of addressing Anaphylaxis.
The event was presided over by Dr. B. Devanand, the Dean/Principal of NMCH&RC, Raichur. As a respected figure in the academic and medical community, his presence as the presiding authority provided a strong foundation for the lecture and special reference to the need for early management of Anaphylaxis.
Dr. Arun K. N, the Medical Superintendent of NMCH&RC, graced the event with his presence, highlighting the institutional importance and support for the subject matter.
Dr. Mallesh gouda sir delivered an insightful and thought-provoking lecture on the topic of Anaphylaxis. He delved into the causes of anaphylaxis, it's pathology, the need for its early identification and it's management. His lecture was backed by the most up-to-date research and case studies, enlightened about the use of adrenaline making it highly informative for all attendees.
Interactive Session:
Following the lecture, an interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarification on various aspects of Anaphylaxis. This session facilitated a lively and engaging discussion, further enriching the learning experience.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr Vinod Kumar M, Senior resident, Department of Radiodiagnosis.
The event was a resounding success, achieving its objective of raising awareness about Anaphylaxis. It provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns, enhancing the learning experience and professional development.
A special quiz session was conducted before the guest lecture to the post graduates regarding radiology based questions by Dr M. Bharathi (Professor and HOD), Dr Sharanayya (Associate professor), Dr Shwetha.B(Assistant professor), Dr Prakriti.R.Patil(Senior resident), Dr Vinod Kumar M (Senior resident) and the winners were awarded with the special prizes.
