Yermarus Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located in Yermarus village in Raichur district, Karnataka. The power plant is owned by the Karnataka Power Corporation. This is India’s first 800MW super critical thermal power plant and Bharat Heavy Electricals is the EPC contractor for this power project.

Yeramarus Thermal Power Station (Yeramarus Thermal Power Station Unit I &Unit II) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals steam turbines with 800MW capacity. Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied electric generator for the Yeramarus Thermal Power Station (Yeramarus Thermal Power Station Unit I& Unit 2). Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied steam boiler for the Yeramarus Thermal Power Station (Yeramarus Thermal Power Station Unit II).Power Mech Projects is the O&M contractor for thermal power project

On 18-11-2022 Students visited various units of YTPS (Coal Handling Unit, Boiler Unit , Turbine unit ,Ash Handling Unit , Control Unit ,Cooling Unit,  etc.,) and gained the knowledge regarding different units operations.
